We start off by mentioning the disappointment in our recent results. We have had some near misses but we have to expect that in our industry. We never kid ourselves by putting it down to “bad luck” as we feel there is no such thing when it comes to betting.
Dundee were beaten by a big margin against Rangers in the Scottish FA Cup last weekend but how on earth Ross County lost from one goal in front and playing against a ten-man team shocked us.
We have backed a non-runner in the Cheltenham Festival in the Arkle Trophy which means an automatic loss of 3 points. Ar Mad ran extremely well in his last outing and as a result was cut from 7/1 into 11/4 favourite in the without Douvan market. Unfortunately, in the same evening news broke out that the horse was lame and as a result declared a non-runner.
Our weekend/daily football service has not kicked off too well but with such a small sample it is premature to decide its fate. We will be publishing the results of all the bets we have given on our website just as soon as our web developer has time to work on it.
We have spent the morning re-valuing the current seasons running bets and overall are pleased with the portfolio. Full details of this can be found under “Full Results” on our website.
Our attention now turns to the Cheltenham Festival which takes place next week. We have given very few ante-post bets on this so far but anticipate plenty more day of the race bets next week. There will be better each way place terms available on a lot of the races and we will not have the danger of losing on non-runners.
All bets will be given in one posting at 11:30am each day and we will charge a maximum of 2 or 3 tokens for all the daily bets depending on the number of selections.
It is astonishing that even after our disappointing run we have not received one single complaint or negative comment. We appreciate your loyalty and most of you have stuck with us through difficult periods in the past and reaped the rewards long-term.
